    change user for cups ? - localhost:631 not found


    having trouble using cups. when i enter http://localhost:631 i get a "can't connect to server" error. i did ps aux and cupsd is running but it lists the user as lp...instead of root. how can i change the user of cupsd or is that not my problem ?

    It should be fine running as lp, as this is a special user set up by SuSE for cups only. Try restarting cups, and make sure your /etc/hosts is configured properly.
