installing stuff
I may sound a little dumb, but hey I'm new. I have professional 9.2 and I don't know how to install anything. I know that a lot of stuff is only compatable with windows, but I still can't figure out how to run a program. I will put the disk in and it shows all of the files, but how to I install and run them.

Re: installing stuff
If you want to install Windows Programs you will have to use an emulator like WINE, which lets you run some windows programs in linux.

Many wndows programs have a sorta linux copy of it, e.g. the GIMP instead of Photoshop etc. So you will be able to do the same work.

reply to help
thank you, I am new and have a bit to learn and every ounce of knowledge helps. I'll have to see if this solves the conundrum, but thank you for the help regardless.
