Can't load ndiswrapper module
Peoplz,
I've got a problem with ndiswrapper in suse 9.2 x86_64.
I have installed my wlan driver via ndiswrapper:
This works fine, but when I try:Code:ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5.inf
I get a fatal error saying the module ndiswrapper can't be found. I have triedCode:modprobe ndiswrapper
but this didn't help much. I have also noticed that the file ndiswrapper.ko doesn't exist.Code:ndiswrapper -m
Please help

hey did u check that u had the proper driver installed with
if you saw something like this then u do have a card supported by the driver that you loadedCode:ndiswrapper -l
if not then u chosse the correct driver from this list check this url http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/p...98b64304abfbbfCode:installed ndis drivers <driver_name hardware present
and the driver list is here http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/p...index.php/List
and most important of all is to use the drivers that are in this list even if u have what you think in the same driver...ther are not always the same~Mike ~~~ Forum Rules

Yep, I did that and I have the correct driver.....I gave up by now, I installed Gentoo with 32bit architecture and I will wait till ndiswrapper is ready for 64bit systems because I am guessing that the problem lies within the 64bit arch. I have my card working fine in Gentoo with ndiswrapper.
