To update to KDE 3.3 in suse do the following:
1. yast -> Change Source of instalation -> add http
server name ftp.uni-kl.de
directory on server /pub/linux/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/update_for_9.1/yast-source
-> OK, and finnish
2. Close down Yast
3. enter YaST -> system update, update of KDE should be in the list of updates -> click next, kde should update, finnish the install (this can take a few hours)
4. Close YaST, and then restart the computer, or restart X;
hope this helps;
