    suse 9.1 and nvidia drivers

    how do you get the nvidia drivers to work with suse 9.1.
    the graphics card is a geforce mx 4000 64mb AGP.
    i have downloaded the driver from the nvidia site and followed all the instructions, but it repeatedly freezes on reboot at the desktop.
    i have also tried via yast update...same thing...
    this is driving me nuts...
    (tried driver version 6111 as well, same result)
    any help hugely appreciated....

    what errors do you get?check in/var/log messages and post them.else use dmesg command.
