    Partition issue

I installed openSUSE on an old laptop at work. How do I create a partition through openSUSE to enable installation of Windows 8?

There are partitioning tools, fdisk, gdisk, cfdisk, sfdisk, parted, to name a few. Take your pick. I have heard Windows install will destroy your existing bootloader, so be prepared to reinstall it.

Download and use SystemRescueCD -- it contains many useful tools, as segfault noted.
Install Win first as it will automatically partition hdd. Then use Win to shrink System partition to about 33% freespace.
Do not touch parition made with windows. Use SysRescCD.

    Won't tell u everything at first. It's a process.

    Best wishes!
