Xine will not play my dvds.
I have Mandrake 10.1 installed on my machine. I can not play dvds, in eather Xine or cafine. I get error messages for store bought dvds saying no plugin available to handle dvd eather MLR syntax is wrong or file stream doesn't exist. Is there somewhere I could find plugins or install a player that will fix this issue?
I did have one other question that is related to this. I have a ATI all in Wonder video card however I am not able to feed my tv into the system. It recognizes it as a video card but not as a tv card. Are there any drivers or fixes for this. If not is there a tv card that will work with linux..
thanks

By default, Xine doesn't play protected DVD's (which means most of them). You have to find a file on the net, I can't remember the exact file. Go to xinehq and look around.

That's the one! Try finding libdvdcss (or libdvdcss2), it is not on the SuSE servers (at least, it wasn't a month ago) but I'm not sure about Mandrake (on the suse site, they say that you can't watch protected dvd's at all, which is not true).
