    is there any dvd software for suse that can play dvds, and if there is, is there any rpm ones that i can download that can play movies like euro trip and irobot.

    well you could try ogle, but it can only play the matrix and star wars.
    also try mplayer and stuff.
    also make sure that you have libdvdcss installed

    whats libdvdcss and how do i look to see if i have it? and also i downloaded mplayer but i cant find it. ohh im usin suse 9.1 personal.

    it's the decryption library for dvds

    to see if you have libdvdcss, try either

    slocate libdvdcss

    --or--

    locate libdvdcss

    it will display any files with that name on your computer, would probably be in /usr/lib or something

    if you want to try ogle their site has a link to all the dependencies, if you want to installit use the source packsges and not the rpm's, and for the GUI don't download the latest version (use the second latest).
