    To hell with the mini-installation

I ordered an internal DVD drive from tigerdirect =D

Yesterday my download of the DVD ISO crapped out at 2.5 Gigs. BAH!!!!

And when i try in CuteFTP it tells me I don't have enough space on my harddrive?!?! I have one with 20 gigs left, one with 180 gigs left, and an external one with 40 gigs left... Any ideas guys?

I finally got it started this morning however, by starting the download in firefox, then while it's still downloading in FF --> start the download in cuteFTP, told it to "resume" and closed the FF download and now it's downloading from cuteftp. But it shouldn't be that way... Anyhow now I'm at work, at least I can always resume in cuteftp so I wont lose what I got if ever it craps out on me.

    Thanks for your time. =)

When I downloaded the DVD image from suse's official download server, it crapped out about there, too... twice.

Use a mirror and It should download much better

are you downloading from a mirror or from SuSE?
as I said earlier, both times I dled from suse, the file was corrupted
I suspect the file on their server is corrupted, but I have no way to prove it

I think he means a burnt copy of the DVD image available online, and for that, just watch the google ads on these forums, I see offers all the time for ~$2 SuSE discs. In fact, theres probably one of those offers on this page riht now, as google ads are targeted to the page content

Yeah that is what I meant, I dont wana pay 69$ or whatever price it is.......

The second download was also corrupted... I'm trying again now from a different site, I'll keep trying until I recieve my dvd reader, and when I do, if I don't have suse, ill borrow Fedora 3 from a buddy.

    But I want SuSe
