SuSE 9.2 hangs immediately any USB device is connected
Have tried various USB devices on dual boot XP/ SuSE 9.2, Pentium 4; Epson printer, Cannon scanner and a mouse. All work fine on XP, and also work fine when the computer is booted off a live Knoppix CD. SuSE hangs immediately any USB device is plugged in and no longer responds to any keys or to mouse movement. Can only be recovered by powering down. If USB connected at boot up then boot up hangs and must be powered down. Same problem with 9.1 and I thought a completely fresh installation of 9.2 might cure this, but to no avail. Same USB devices also work fine With SuSE on other similar hardware??? Have trawled through all possible settings in YaST and can not find anything wrong. Has anyone out there ever expeienced anything like this? Any cure?
