    music skipping

Hi, I have a SuSE 9.1 installed on my Dell inspiron 8200, P4 1.7 GHz, 256 MB ram comp. Everytime I use xmms or amarok to play music, it skips and distorts when i move the window, resize it , or open any other application or window. I've tried allotting more priority and buffering to the sound, but this only helped marginally. Can anyone help me ou. thanks

VERY simple solution.... get more RAM or don't run Xwindows.

Is it only when you resize windows or does it happen by itself sometimes? Do you happen to know what output driver you are using for xmms?
