Suse 9.2 USB card reader config

Im having a problem getting my usb card reader to work. I have a soyo bayone internal reader,

    http://www.soyo.com.tw/products/proddesc.php?id=284

It sits in my drive bay above the floppy drive and is plugged into my mainboard. It worked fine under 9.1, but the 9.2 suse doesnt seem to like it.
I am getting power to it, just when I plug a camera card in, i get nothing. I also have a 4 port usb hub connected to this machine. I took another external USB card reader and plugged it into my port, and suse detected it, then when i tried to copy the pics to my home folder, konqueror locks up every time.

Where is a good place to start?

Is there a known card reader that works with suse 9.2? What do you guys use. I could put the one I have in my windows machine, and buy another one for suse.
