unistalling linux 9.2 plz help!!
hi
i REALLY need to get rid of linux 9.2 suse ,not that it aint good just that is isnt my forte. any way i installed off a disc that come with those magazines, so i only have the CD not the floppy. i did have XP, dun have the disk, just 98 and 200
really wanna keep the files frum windows
ANY HELP?

Hrmm...
Well, I know how to do it from the XP CD, I wonder if the 2000 CD would be similar...
So all this is an estimate, but give it a shot:
Enter the CD into the drive and boot from it. If/when you get to the point where you decide where to install Windows, delete the partition that Linux is on. Then abort the installation before you get to the point where you would install Windows 2000.
You will now have SuSE permanently gone from your system. To use the now-open space in Windows XP, you will likely need to find the XP CD. You then simply install on the empty space, and Windows will detect the new partition.
Basically, just don't touch your existing Windows partition ever with anything. That way, all files will be preserved.

the 2000 in non-bootable (burned)
so all im left with is the 98 cd
however if you ae good @ the xp disc , i can obtain it and maybe you could
tell me step by step

Well, I know step-by-step how to do the XP CD, as I've done it myself several times on my own computer and a few times on other computers.
Don't go and buy one, though. See if the 98 CD will do anything like this. See if you can find your XP CD. There's also probably some way to do it in Linux that I don't know about.

98 cd is booted
option for boot from hard disk (go to linux startup) or boot from cd
i choose boot frum cd.
next screen there are 3 choices start windows from cd
and star the system with or with out cd support
there is also an option to get into command prompt
anyhing like xp so far
