Then when I go play a dvd I cant. Also I donloaded the codecs off of mplayer and placed them into my /usr/lib/win32 for I can play wmv and mov files but with kaffeine I dont get sound out of mov files and wmv I get nothing, no sound or video... Goto:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i686.rpm.html
and download LAME (LAME Ain't an MP3 Encoder) from that webpage and install it.
Then go here:
http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i386.rpm.html
and download the rpm for win32codec-all and install that, then try the mplayer install again.

thanks. i just downloaded mplayer. watchin RvB on it.
Here's why Linux is easier than Windows:
Package Managers! Apt-Get and Portage (among others) allow users to install programs MUCH easier than Windows can.
Hardware Drivers. In SuSE, ALL the hardware is detected and installed automatically! How is this harder than Windows' constant disc changing and rebooting?
