KDE the culprit
okay, so i installed gnome a while back on opensuse 10.2, without me realizing my computer didn't freeze anymore. until i thought about reinstalling suse 10.0(retail version) then i remembered that i used to get freezes. so what did i do i reinstalled suse 10.0 with KDe and walla.. ching ching, computer freezes while downloading. Okay im going to reinstall 10.2 again with KDE sometime and see what happens. i'll install gnome with 10.0 sometime aswell and see if that freezes. For those that are having problems, opensuse 10.2 gnome worked.

ndiswrapper / wireless usb adapter
that last post i made a while back was totally bogus and misleading.
I figured out that it was my wireless usb adapter running on ndiswrapper. Which of the two was the culprit i dont know, i do however know that in windows it never froze. So my guess is it was a combination of my kernel, ndiswrapper and the wireless.
been running my computer now for weeks on end without a system freeze since i installed a pci rt2500 chipset wireless card
