Hello, I'm running suse 10 & I was wondering how I could get WAV videos or files to run on SuSE. Any help would be great!...

Whats a WAV video? First thing I would try is to get the w32codec's installed, can be found as an rpm from http://rpm.pbone.net
Life is complex, it has a real part and an imaginary part.

Download the "Essential Codecs Package" here(works for xine based players as well):
    http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/dload.html

    Become root and type:
    #mkdir /usr/lib/win32
    #tar -jxf essential-*.tar.bz2
    #cd essential-*
    #mv * /usr/lib/win32

...and you'll be able to use all win32codecs plus a lot more.

I don't think anyone doubted that
Just drop all your codecs in /usr/lib/win32 (as I posted above) and it will work.
Using that rpm will also work for WMV, but not for non MS codecs (...and you'll want those too).

See this thread for how I got multimedia to work on SuSE-10.0.

Edit - Just came back from Business Trip. Noted comments about above link being broken. Can't find URL I had in mind, but the following gives some information:

    OldCPU: broken link

Your link doesn't seem to work. I'm a member of the forum, but I get pushed back to the home page.

Is that link complete?? What comes after the '=' sign?

    Thanks

@OldCPU - time to update your bookmarks. I think that's a link to the old forum software.

@fbe2 First I would see if you can download the "Multimedia Packs" off Yast Online Update. If that doesn't work for you, try this site. It's for an older version of SuSE but it should still work:
