    dual boot problem

    Hi,
I tried to set up a linux suse/windows dual boot with windows on 80gig SATA and Linux on 40gig IDE. Linux works fine but when I try to boot windows it just keeps saying "booting windows..". Could this be because IDE is taking priority? Is there a way to solve this and if so what?
    Thanks in advance,

you need to provide us with this information:

    menu.lst or grub.conf located in /boot/grub/menu.lst

    fstab located in /etc/fstab

maybe fdisk -l (just type this command as root)
All right, brain. You don't like me and I don't like you, but let's just do this and I can get back to killing you with beer. All New Users Read This!!! If you have a grub problem please look at GRUB MANUAL

if you are trying to save windows, perhaps try booting the windows install cd and go into "rescue mode" or whatever they have... that may be able to redo your boot record and get windows up and running for you.
