    Monitor Refresh Rate

I have a nvidia GeForce FX5200 and a Samsung Syncmaster 957DF CRT monitor. I usually have it set to 1280x1024 at 85Hz but since installing SUSE10 the refresh rate will only got to 78Hz?

Also at 1024x768 i can only get 98Hz instead of 100Hz. I did an auto update when I installed this OS which included a Nvidia Graphics driver.

I have the same card and I remember freaking out because at 1024 x 768 the refresh rate was set to 132! I thought my monitor would blow up. If I remember right using sax2 (just type sax2 from cmd line) to fine tune the monitor adjusted the refresh rate a bit automatically. I didn't look in to this too much but just decided that if it looks good and doesn't cause eye strain... good enough.
