HELP! Error occurred while restarting DHCP daemon

It is probably something moronic that I've just forgotten to include while running
Yast, but I just can't seem to figure it out. Suse detects my cards, but when I
run them through the cycle they ALWAYS hang up at the same place:
    Error
Error occurred while restarting DHCP daemon
same message over and over. Please give me some advice on what I
need to do to straighten this out.
I am running SuSE 10, with a xircom wired card, but the ultimate plan is
    to go the wireless route

    thanks in advance

Start by checking the system logs to see if you can obtain more information...

Did you just install/configure/etc. for the first time, or has it actually already worked correctly before now?
