    How can i change the workgroup name in suse so that it matches my window's workgroup? Also, you know how you can share printers and print documents from another computer that isn't hooked up to the same computer? can you share printers with linux as well?

    i've never done it in Suse but got a printer going once using Xandros. didn't leave it up long though.

    Is suse going to be a client or server? If a server, you need to open the file /etc/samba/smb.conf and find the line that says "workgroup" and add your particular workgroup. If you're just a client, there should be an icon that launches a network browser and lists all available workgroups.
