    network connection help

I just installed SuSE for the first time. This is not my first linux install but I am still a linux n00b. I like it alot better that fedora so far but I have hit one major snag, it won't automatically set up the network connection. Admitedly I haven't tried very hard to fix it myself, but my small amount of experience using linux tells me that it's better to seek help first.

P.S. if it's any help, here are my specs:
OS: working GRUB dual boot with windows xp and SuSE 10
    mobo: Asus P4P800-e dlx
    ethernet: onbord
    CPU: p4 3.2 ghz

sorry everyone, problem solved. Looks like all I had to do was reboot.
However, when I was using fedora, I found this setup guide http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...ion_notes.html
. Could anyone refer me to an equally awsome guide for SuSE?
