Kinternet problems

I'm fairly new with linux and I've recently installed Suse 10 but I'm have problems getting the internet set up.
When i run Kinternet i get:

Connection to remote server refused
Maybe smpppd is not running
Also check the server settings in
the dialog "various settings".

then after that Kinternet crashes with the following backtrace log:
http://www.angelfire.com/rpg2/fesa/kinternetcrash.txt

I have already set up my DSL with Yast! and that didn't help.

nevemind guys, I've figured it out...i ran kinternet in the console as root and that did the trick...please excuse my ignorance
