I'm running SuSE 10 on a notebook, which is connected to a LAN. The LAN has a variety of 98/XP/Linux boxes connected.

If I click on "Local Network" in Konqueror, I see a pop-up window which says:

Cannot find parent item slp:/ in the tree. Internal error.

Plz can someone tell me what this means, and how I make it possible to browse the various Samba shares on the LAN.

    TIA...

I think the lisa daemon needs to be running for this to work. Do you have Lisa installed?

Hmm, don't know anything about Lisa. If I start yast2 and search for lisa, it only finds 'libvisual-devel' and 'xmgrace' ... neither of which sound relevant to browsing the shares on a LAN.

If I type 'man lisa' it only refers to a screensaver.

    Is there another lisa?
