Unhappy Maxtor 100GB usb freezes Suse 9.2

    Hi,

I'm using Suse 9.2 on an AMD2400 pc.

My vfat - Maxtor one touch 100GB usb2-disk is auto-mounted normally by Suse 9.2.

But when I try to access the disk or copy files to it Suse 'freezes' solid.

Only a reset by the power button helps.

Please help me out - my pc's fixed hd is completey full.

ok the thing is; the laptop's hard drive maybe different from the desktop's hard-drive. Therefore, you'll get different results. Furthermore, they are two seperate machines and have different processors and data is handled differently.
