    hi,
    I want to start snmp service (snmpd) in SUSe10. How can i start this service? As i know it is very easy to start snmp on FC3 with just a single command i.e. service snmpd start
    what about SUSE?
    pls. help me..

    SNMP Service in SUSE10

    Not sure this is the answer you were looking for but it might be more useful than the last..

    /sbin/yast

    Go down to "System" then tab over and go down to "System Services (Runlevel)" it should be fairly simple from there. Just look for good ol' snmpd in the list and activate it.
