Compiz.desktop not loading at startup.
Hi,
I've installed XGL on my computer under KDE on SLED 10 (32-bit). I've followed the instructions (I think) and all the packages are installed. I'm using the Compiz-Quinn Packete. My compiz.desktop application does not start. I get this error:
"The desktop entry file /home/pedro/.kde/Autostart/compiz.desktop has no Type=... entry."
I also get a black screen, cannot see my desktop, only the main panel and taskbar. I've read this is common with Nivida cards, so I figured that If I can get Compiz.desktop to work I might be able to deal with the black screen later.
Can any one help me solve this problem? Why ins't compiz.desktop loading, and what should I change to make it work?
Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

what content have you put in the desktop file? It may be more straightforward to just create a script to do this.

I copied and pasted this into the compiz.desktop file using Kate:

I found this information here: http://en.opensuse.org/Using_Xgl_on_SUSE_Linux
Obviously I'm doing something wrong.

I figured it out!
Ok,
I think I've found the solution myself. I've been playing aroung with Kate and noticed that there is an option under "Tools- FileType-Scripts-Python". I chose that option and the script is loading now, but I still have the black screen problem. I know I have to change some settings in xorg.conf but I can't find this folder or file. Where is "xorg.conf"? Can you help me solve this problem, please?
Thanks.
