    Thunderbird email notification

Is there a plugin or some solution to getting email notification msg with Thunderbird?

I havn'd used Linux in over a year but I'm back at it again. This has probably been asked many times but I havn't found an answer other than Mozilla FAQ which states available in Win only.

    its already there in thunderbird.
Edit --> Prefrences --> General --> New Message Alert
in 'Advacned' section, you can specify new sound file.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Thanks. I obviously didn't look close enough.

In any case I'm not getting the 'message' nor any sound (Test Sound = nothing) though sound system is working at least in part (i.e. KDE intro music & audio CD's OK). Well at least I now know it SHOULD work so I'll start the hunt.

Thanks quick response. I remember you from last year when I was active. Easy handle to remember!
