Yes, I've downloaded linux version. Extracted it. And there's an updater in the folder. I means: How to use it?
    Edit:
    It says how to use:
    Usage: updater <dir-path> <parent-pid> [working-dir callback args...]
Can you tell me the means of every option?
And for SLED 10, what is the correct commandline I need to type in?

    Cool

Oh, I've solved it myself. Just simply close all your firefox window and copy all the files extracted, including the hidden files to /usr/lib/firefox to overwrite the exist files. Restart your firefox. Delete all the configuration files in your home ~/.mozilla/firefox/* All done.

good... but firefox2rc2 is not bug-free yet. you should keep both for a while. as i wrote earlier, just double click on 'firefox' file in extracted folder.... firefox2rc2 will pop up. create link on Desktop and in Menu.

Could you tell me how to edit the Gnome menu? I've tried to right-click on the menu button and select edit menu. But it doesn't allow me to add a new item. Many thanks.

You can't edit GNOME's Menu. 'Alacarte' (Gnome's menu editor) allows adding packages in default list only. create a shorcut of 'firefox2rc2' on desktop.
