firstly, i am sorry if there is another thread about this... i hope my lazyness of searching through the whole forum for an answer doesn't bother you.
i just finnished installing suse linux, and everything's changed from windows.. almost everything.. it's cool... i want to discover and learn.. but to do that faster i need the internet...
and my problem is: how do you make a broadband connection on linux ?..
in windows i did something like: "create a new connection > new connection > connect to the internet > set up my connection mannualy > using a broadband connection that requiers... etc.. and there was it...
maybe i didn't search enough... but i'll be damned if i found anything to help me..

anyway.. i installed suse, and it doesn't recoginze my fat32 partition...
what can i do ? ...

All of your answers lie in YaST

Tell us more about your broadband connection - What type is it, what type of modem/router do you use and how do you connect to it (USB/ethernet/WiFi etc).
As for the FAT32 partition is it a case that it is not recognised or that it is simply not mounted?

i actually don't know anything about my internet connection
.... it's just a wire from the back of my pc that goes directly to my isp... no modem, nor router...
and about the partition.. uh.. mount it ? i briefly installed fedora core once.. and it instantly recognized my fat partition.. no mounting or other stuff needed.. so i guessed that suse would just recognize it
..
- 10-19-2006 #4Well we are going to need a little more information to help you out. What is your ISP? Do you know what kind of internet, like dial-up, DSL, cable, T1, etc...? What kind of wire is it? What in your computer does it plug into? What did you have to configure in windows XP to make it work?
