    can somebody please explain the pros and cons of using vmware and win4lin.
    which one of the two goes down better? I just wnat to use windows to run a few software such as itunes & mobilephone connection software

    Can't speak of win4lin but Vmware server works fine here. Very stable. I recomend only one veriation from the default install questions. You should place the directory either in it's own partition ( I made a 30 gig partition mounted as VM) or in your home. That way if you ever change root signifigantly (install a new OS maybe) you need not worry about wiping out your virtual machines. VMware wants to install the virtual machines in root partition. I also recomend lots of memory. I can run XP on a 1gig machine but there was a lot of disk thrashing. Droping another gig in and it runs smooth as silk.

    BTW running on Athlon 64 3200+ 2ghz clock 2Gig memory 120gig sata drive. Suse 10.1 64bit
