    Nvidia drivers - gcc

I am running Suse 10.1 installed from downloaded CD iso images. Yast does not show gcc available for install. cpp, libgcc, and libgcj are already installed. When I run the Nvidia installer it fails saying it can't find cc.

I'm a newbie Windows convert, can anyone help?

    Thanks

If you have your network with internet working you can go to YaST updater and check "fetchnvidia.sh"

Maybe your are looking for bin-utils? which include make, gcc, etc

Thanks for the reply. I was having other problems as well and tried to repair by booting from the cd. The repair didn't seem to do anything but I saw an update option and tried it. gcc is now available in yast.

    Wish me luck.
