ROuter PRob Help!
ei guys, i have this tiny prob.

im using SUSE 10. I have trouble connecting to my router,
heres the case the router have a dhcp set.
i already configure my lan card, all the necessary inputs are there, i already set up the default gateway. after configurng my network card.
i use the ifdown and up command, after ifup an error ocurred. it seems like i cant connect to my router, i know this is quite a common problem i have encountered one of these before but this one is different,
im just asking if is there any other reasons why this kind of error happens,
tnx

Could you give more details?
- What's the error message?
- ifconfig

ok.. heres the error after i execute ifup -eth1
ERROR WARNING: could not set up default route via interface command ip route
replace to default via 192.168.1.1 returned:
. RTNETLINK answers: Network is unreachable
Configuration line: default 192.168.1.1 - -
This needs NOT to be an ERROR if you setup multiple interfaces.
i have already set the cables ryt. the settings of the router. it can already detect my lan card. so wat i did in my network card setting was that i set up the default gateway which is 192.168.1.1 < ip of my router. and i still cant connect to my router, do i have to follow to set multiple interfaces?
thnx

Looks like you have a second nic. Could you post ifconfig and route?
