If you do not know and just intall both of them on ur machine and then try to use both of them. After while, u will feel the difference.

I have only installed the GNOME interface and not KDE. I was thinking about installing the other one but if they isn,t much diference then I wont bother.

It's hard to quantify the differences between the two. I just recommend you install both. You might like KDE better. If not, go back to Gnome. There's no reason not to at least give both a try.

The difference is really what you see in it yourself. They both have the same target, and are 'competing' desktop environments. Easiest thing to do is install both and try both. It's really a matter of opinion.

how can i switch between the two??!

lets say i installed both Gnome and KDE, but how do i switch between them?

When you get to the "sign in manager" likely KDM, there will be an option to choose between which Desktop Environmnet or Windows Manager to boot to. Gnome and KDE among others will be listed for your choosing.
