    No pendrive automount

I have a 256MB kingstone pendrive. When i plug it into my computer running SuSE 10.1, it doesn't automount it. I neither can mount it manually by using the command :
mount -t vfat /dev/sda* /mnt/[folder to mount on] , since there no such device sda* in /dev folder..
So what should i do to make it work?
