some questions about configure files on SUSE
I have several questions about configure files on SUSE:
1 I want to change icons for some applications, and I want to add my own icons into the pool of the system, but I cannot find where to put. Because I want to put new icons together with others, instead in seperate places;
2 Each time my machine starts, there are some usless software starting up. So I want to choose which software running at starts-up. I think there should be a file to change. But I cannot find it;
3 I want to configure attributes of some software. I think there should be a configure file binded with it. How can I find the configure file of a given software?
Thank you very much.

Almost all configuration files are found in the /etc directory but not all software has one there so it would depend on which app you're trying to configure.3 I want to configure attributes of some software. If you want to remove a program from startup, you can do it via yast:
Go to Yast-->System-->System Services (runlevel)
If you want to remove stuff from runlevels via command line, read 'man insserv'.

You should also be able to put some icons in the various size-based folders (in KDE+Suse) in /usr/share/icons.
As for your third question, what exactly do you want to configure?

How would I go about adding programs to the runlevel? Specifically, I want to add beryl-manager.
