I though that apache and php and mysql can with the installation. When I type localhost in my broswer, I get a message referrng to the firewall.

I though that apache and php and mysql can with the installation. When I type localhost in my broswer, I get a message referrng to the firewall.
Also can someone tell me how to get sugarcrm installed on SuSE.

What version of suse are you running....and have you changed anyting on the firewall since installation?? have you taken a look in Yast to see what software packages are installed?

go into yast , Software manager, then type in apache2 under search, see if it is ticked. if they are installed go to System --> System services( runlevel editor) click on the expert mode and make sure the service apache2 is started.....if all is running you should then get a page that says IT WORKS when you type localhost into your web browser. you can also set apache to start by default on the various runlevels using runlevel editor....do the same for Mysql service.....

place the PHP script in /srv/www/htdocs and then try and access it from the web browser......use Yast and check to see if apache2-mod_PHP5,apache2-prefork,php5-mysql/ is installed......to be safe install all the packages that come up under the mysql,apache,php searches in yast.
