    suse 10 hangs

    hangs after the bootloader don't know why no errors while installing even tryed twice even i fail safe mode i don't think my computer like linux tryed fedora 6 as well nothing blank screen

    amd 3500+ 64bit
    gigabyte mobo
    geoforce 5700
    512 ram
    and a tv for a monitor <--- something to do with it?? i tryed not probing the monitor

    is it possible for you to try your computer with a monitor rather than a TV, if not try a reinstall and allow it to probe for monitor. Also I am assuming you are using the TV from your TV out on your card.

    By default, when booting the graphics will be sent down the VGA line, so you may need to adjust something in your /etc/X11/xorg.conf file to do this, which you can do if it will work through a standard monitor

    Have you tried a clean install ,formatting the drive and start a new cleen install...my 2 cents...
