Boot Failure
I installed SuSE 10.1 in a dual boot configuration (SuSE 10.1 and XP) with Grub as the boot loader. After loading SuSE, loading programs, setting up network devices, Novell, Groupwise....booting several times during all of this....everything works great. Then for no apparent reason, I begin to boot, get the blue screen with SuSE 10.1 and the small circles showing loading...and the screen will flash several times and give me a message that says something to the effect "Your display driver has reset 6 times in 90 secs. Something bad is happening." I'm then presented with an "OK" button which reboots the system and I go through all this again.
I've searched and tried a few things to no avail. I can boot to Failsafe...run Sax2 change the display settings...then run startx and get in fine. Save the settings and still can't boot normally. Or I can just run startx after booting in Failsafe mode and get in fine. I don't really think the display is set up wrong as it comes up set to where I "think" it should be when I do get in and check settings. And as I say, it works fine the first couple of days.
Any ideas as to what might be going on? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I've loaded SuSE twice now and don't mind loading again but no reason if I am going to wind up back here a third time!! I have co-worker who has the same laptop and has had no problems as of yet with SuSE 10.1.
Other info:
HP nx6110 laptop
Centrino 1.73 with 1 gig of RAM
Intel 915 M graphics card
60 gig HD
Thanks in advance for your time.

Is that the same way you would ask to borrow flour from a neighbor?
I'll help you anyway-- use the vesa driver and disable all acceleration options. You can do this by editing /etc/X11/xorg.conf and rerunning sax2, all as root.
