    SUSE Linux Networking

I am trying to get my networking going having just installed SUSE on a DELL Latitude LS laptop. The Tornado network adapter works when attached to my router. When attached to my Windows XP laptop with a patch cable both computers say that the connection is active but the SUSE machine cannot see the internet in a browser.
I also have a Speedouch 110 wireless card in the Latitude which /sbin/ifconfig detects but knetworkmanager does not.
    Is there something obvious?

try going to yast>Network Services>Routing and set the default gateway to the IP of your router (probably 192.168.1.1)

I struggled with this for a while and kept overlooking this.
