how do I Set partition size

Ok my harddrive has 18.? Gs

    SuSE gives Swap 760.6MB, / 7.3Gs and /home 10.4Gs

Well Im installing everything from all 5 CDs and by the end of the install it says its basicly used up.

Well i might be wrong, but shouldnt / be bigger then /home, ESP when only ONE user will be installed AND inst the / where everything is installed, while /home is just user files??

During the install on this screen
    http://www.novell.com/products/susel...l-settings.gif

    I pick Partitioning, then Custom
and im just worried that i mess something up if i delete partitons and use Create

I can resize any of them to be smaller, but it wont let them be bigger, even if i take 5Gs out of home, it wont let ./ be bigger then 7Gs, unless i delete / and /home, then create, but im scared im not adding it in right

Ok i have 512 RAM, so the size of SWAP is somewhat ok, but im thinking about giving / 15Gs and /home like 2Gs

    help me out plz

That sounds fine to me. /home is a little on the small side, but it depends how much data you have to put there -- 2.6 gigs won't do if you plan to store your itunes library there!

It's easy enough to change in the future using yast if you find you need to juggle some of the free space around.

Well, Starr you are not alone man, I used 4GB for my linux and it only has about 400mb left now, but is still fine. Also if you ever need a partition software to ease the pain of partitioning try this software: Acronis the partitioning suite.

I might try 2.5 GB too on my IBM thinkpad
