    Exclamation problem installing suse 10.1

    Hi,
I have an old desktop with 12.5 GB, 256 MB RAM running windows 2000.
I resized windows so that it fits in 7.4 GB and so have >4 GB free to load Linux.
The installation goes as expected until a point where it asks me to load CD 1 (though that is the one already in the CD-ROM). I however, eject and push it back. Then the packages seem to be installing (for quite sometime of 20-30 mins) and all of a sudden, the system reboots. Is there something I am missing?
It doesn't come to a point where it asks for the second CD. Please help.

    Thanks.

on reboot, select SuSe from GRUB list, installation will continue.
installer will ask for second CD.

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    HI Casper,
Thanks a lot, but i seem to have run into a BIG problem. Well, previously it would not complete the installation and would reboot. So though I choose "Suse" on reboot, it asked me for login and pwd which obv i didnt setup. So i started reinstalling Suse again with no luck. Tried it a couple of times and now since the computer hangs, i shut down and start the machine and i get a "DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER" message. What do i do?
Previously when i booted, i GRUB gave me options to boot from. The current error persists though i tried to reboot a few more times.
    Pls help.

UPDATE. I turned of the machine for a while and then started again and now its reading form the CD-ROM. I will try to reinstall Suse again. Couldn't get to setup my login and pwd in all the prev attempts. This time around, the Linux kernel is taking a longgg time to load.
Will let you know how this attempt goes!
