Working with Suse DVD iso images

I've just downloaded the latest release of Suse. Rather than download the 5 separate cd images, I downloaded the DVD image. I notice, however, that this also has 5 files. I assume that these can all be put on one DVD. Is this correct? If so, should they be placed in a folder and saved to the DVD, or as the 5 separate files.
How will the installation pick up how to install each iso image?
I have now unfortunately given up on Fedora 6. I've had so much trouble trying to install drivers for my Sagem broadband modem that I have just given up. I've had loads of help on this forum from people who obviously really know what they were doing, but even with this great help, I've just run into problem after problem. Someone has mentioned that Suse has better driver support so I'm hoping that this will pick up mu usb modem with no problems. Heres hoping...........

    Thanks,
    Tim

Are you referring to the OpenSuSE 10.1 distribution? If it is, you only have one DVD iso image (that should be burned as such). Where did you download it from?

If you downloaded the .iso image for the DVD, you should NOT use any special software to "open" it up. There is no need. In fact, its probably counter productive in most cases.

Instead, use your favourite burning program to burn the entire .iso file as an IMAGE to the DVD. This is important. Don't break it up with special software. Don't drag out the compenents. And Don't use nero to burn as type iso, as that is a different Nero option. Burn this as an "image file".

Also, conduct the MD5 checksums BEFORE burning.

Also, burn at the slowest possible speed your DVD burner allows, and burn to the highest quality (most compatible) DVD media you can find compatible with your burner.
