/usr not on local file system
I am a newbie at linux and am having some minor problems with installs
I recently installed Freemind on my computer however when i try to add it to the menu using either menu editor or draggin it to the desktop I get the warning "must be in local file system" the application I am trying to install is in the /usr directory so I ran cd in the console and got the same warning I also did this as root but no joy what am I doing wrong? I have read a lot of information on adding to the menu but none of it helped with this problem.
I can browse the folder through my computer and konquerer but It doesn't that is all I can launch the application by clicking on the script in the /usr/bin directory and it seems to run fine so I know it is installed it would just be nice to have a menu entry for this application.
Thank You for your time
Mike
