    I can not open DVD in SuSe.

    It probably doesn't work because you need codecs necessary for DVD reading (I'm assuming it's not just an information disc). If you have SuSE 10.1, you should read this:

    Hello,

    I just thought, have you just tried typing from the CLI (command line interface) from a terminal console:
    # eject cdrom

    Just might work!
