When i type one letter three of them show up
Okay since last night i've installed linux suse for the first time in my life. After a whole lot of messing around i got my internet working on it. Now i have a really weird problem.
Whenever i'm in the console, or firefox and type anything like (google) for instance it will do this (gggggggooogggleee) . I have a ps2 keyboard and i went into the keyboard layout and selected generic 101 keyboard. It doesnt happen in open office, or when i'm typing out settings just in certain instances like firefox. Any idea what this is?

Yes because it only does it inside certain applications. I changed the delay settings thinking that would help but it didn't effect it. It works fine in open office, and gaim. But firefox, and when i'm typing out commands it does it to me.

Try reinstalling Firefox. That is all I can think of. I just thought that maybe you weren't using the letters g, o, o, l or e in OOo. Not that that is likely
.
Ps. Get Opera! xD

I know one of my friend had the same problem after he spilled some beer over his laptop. Did you ever spilled anything ? if not, then is probably software related.

No i didn't spill anything on my computer...
You can turn the keyboard relay all the way down and the machine still has microfreezes.
Okay, i've done some research into this and apparantly it has something to do with the new kernel and most dual core systems. I just downloaded suse 10.1 like two days ago so i got the new kernel. Those people who got the new kernel through update can easily revert back using yast.
However i don't have that option. Now i tried to install an old kernel using an rpm file and it just locks up the system when it tries to reboot. I had to reinstall but my cd again has the newest kernel.
So if anyone knows how to remove the new kernel and put in the old one the help would be appericated.
