can anyone please help me i want ti install firefox 2 on my pc but cant see how to do it there is no readme file and the text document ...

    firefox 2

    can anyone please help me i want ti install firefox 2 on my pc but cant see how to do it there is no readme file and the text document refers me to another download site thanx

    SuSE 10.2 Beta ships with firefox 2, so I would assume the best choice would be to get it from the factory repository. Download the rpm from http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse...rce/suse/i586/

    I haven't tried this myself, but I would think it's compatible with SuSE 10.1 if that's what you're using.

    If you have the firefox 2 tar file you just extract to the directory you use (I use the /usr/) and that's it - done. No configuring, no make instal just a straight extract.
    You can also do a simlink to the firefox ex file in /usr/bin/ so you can have a desktop link.
