    Cool how to play dvd

since the livid site does not exist anymore. What is a safe way to install codecs and mrl for xine, I am using suse 10.0

I loaded a bunch of rpms, starting with libdvdcss2-1.2.9-1.1.102plf.i586.rpm and libxine1-1.2cvs-20061015.pm.0.x86_64.rpm and it's dependences for it to operate xine, it worked, but I can only play a limited amount of dvd's.

    Cool Solution

    1. Uninstall the bundled Xine
    2. Take these from RPM Bone:
    libdvdread-0.9.7-0.pm.0.i586.rpm
    libxine1-1.1.0-13.pm.0.i686.rpm
    xine-lib-1.1.2-8.i586.rpm
    3. And these from Xine home page:
    xine-lib-1.1.2.tar.bz2
    xine-ui-0.99.4.tar
    4. Install RPM's
    5. Untar the archives and install with ./configure ... make ... make install, and there you are !

If you need a CD/DVD catalogizer, give a try to my program:
