hi,

I bought a motherboard "Asus A8N-vm csm"
northbridge :Geforce 6150 and southbridge : Nforce 430.
The audio card is integrated on the motherboard
I've Suse10.0 professionnal

I've problem with the audio driver. I can't see anything in yast for my soundcard.
So I checked forums on internet and I found this installer on the nvidia site. I installed it, add lines in the configuration file (modeprob.conf.local) and launch it with modprobe nvsound.

When I try to launch realplayer e.g, it says that the audio card is busy ...

After that I searched a new solution http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/show...t=57791&page=5
Just a note to A8N-VM CSM owners, because there seems to be some confusion on this point in this thread. This board does not use the nforce sound like you might assume (as I did), instead it has an ad1986a chip. I believe it's supported by the snd-hda-intel driver in the latest ALSA, but I haven't checked this out yet.

So you don't need any updates from nvidia to get sound
I checked in yast and I have alsa 1.0.9 version but I don't understand what I must do.

Does anyone know this issue with this motherboard? Which driver must I use?

I hope that someone has the solution, I hope...
