    Cool Some questions about 10.1

    hi all

can you help in the following:

1- how can i get rid of the bouncing icons animation near the pointer of the mouse when i start an application?

2- how can you force Konqueror to display the content ALWAYS in "List View"
    and not in "Icon" view?
3- how can i get rid of the "Finger" icon that shows up when you go over
objects on the desktop. i would like it to remain the pointer of the mouse,
and not to use the "Web" behavior - so only with Double click i will open an App.

    thanks for the info.

Haha. I see I'm not the only one annoyed by that. Open up KDE Control Center and look under "Look & Feel"->"Launch Feedback" and uncheck the option that says "Enable Busy Cursor".

I believe both of these can be found in the "Peripherals"->"Mouse" menu inside KDE Control Center. The actual mouse pointer graphic might be a part of the desktop theme however, so you'll want to look in "Look & Feel"->Themes or something to that effect.

There should be a "single-click to open applications" option on the Mouse. You can uncheck that.

Main Menu --- control center --- Appearance & Themes --- Launch Feedback
set sliders to minimum. 3 second are enough for bouncing cursor.

2- how can you force Konqueror to display the content ALWAYS in "List View"
    and not in "Icon" view?
open any folder, View -- View Mode -- select 'Info List View'

3- how can i get rid of the "Finger" icon that shows up when you go over

Control Center --- Peripherals -- Mouse --- Cursor Theme. change it

EDIT: slow internet connection and ofcourse, techieMoe is fast

we posted suggestion for KDE and you are using GNOME..

    1. i have to check for Launch Feedback option in Gnome.
Gnome doesn't provide much options to customize environment.

    2. for list view, open any folder, Edit -- preferences -- default view -- select List view.

    3. for mouse pointers, System --- Preferences -- Mouse --- Pointers.
