This is a dependency issue. Whatever you are trying to install needs the package "lame" to be installed already. Have you tried getting yast to install the rpm for you? For this to work you need to make sure you have a few online repositories included in your yast setup, then simply right-click on the rpm, and choose to install it with yast.

That error message was in YaST. I was trying to install the package lame. I need lame to be able to play mp3's in amorok right?

    Yes you do.

Which repositories have you added to yast?

Have you tried installing it by hand?
    Code:
    rpm -ihv <name of rpm>

Right click on the rpm icon you downloaded and choose the option to install it with yast. If you've added a couple of good respositories to yast, then this will sort out all the dependencies for you.

If you haven't, then learn how to do it here, and find a lot of good repositories here.

rams: If you do what smolloy says, you can add the packman repo which has mplayer (which appears to be what you are installing).

dalinux_n00bie: Are you trying to install an rpm from the livna repo? That's for Fedora which could be causing dep problems - there are slight differences between distros. BTW, your name is in the konsole title bar .
